Vegfest: Bristol Vegan Fayre Summer Show
The Bristol Vegan Fayre returns to Document for a 2nd one day show in Bristol this year with a summer jam lined up for Saturday August 24th – a full lineup of live acts, comedians and DJ’s complimenting around 80 stalls, 8 vegan street food caterers, kids area, talks, presentations, panels, workshops, art exhibition and much more. This follows on from the Spring Show March 30th 2024 at Document with a similar line up.
Vegans are of course very welcome at the show and make up around 70% of visitors – but a surprising amount of people not yet vegan also visit the show, many of whom turn to more plant-based options afterwards, with some going the whole way and announcing they are vegan.
‘Feedback from 2023 shows that around 100 people went vegan after visiting the event, with a further 200 looking to increase plant-based options considerably. The combination of so much good food, good vibes and happy people seems to sway a lot of visitors into making changes to diet and lifestyle choices – it’s one of the biggest outreach events in the UK right now’ enthuse the organisers.
The show also sees a large gathering of campaigners and activists and includes an introduction from a number of groups about how to get active for animals and the environment in the local area. ‘ We are blessed with some terrific local groups,’ add the organisers ‘and the event helps to bring groups and individuals together to work more closely and effectively, share skills, experience and resources. We want to see a big uptake in local campaigning and the show helps fuel that on a few levels.’
Expect plenty of food from local vegan traders plus some fantastic independents from across the UK coming to Bristol with a plethora of vegan products, information and inspiration, and with tickets prices £5 inc fees & kids admitted free, it’s an affordable day out for the whole family. ‘There’s never been a better time to shift to plant-based lifestyles, and Bristol Vegan Fayre presents the ideal opportunity to do just that. Tickets on sale from in July.
